Research

Scalable Visual Analytics for advanced Manufacturing

In Visual Analytics automated data mining algorithms and visualizations are enhanced and combined through interaction by a user. This concept can be used in advanced Manufacturing to gain insight into production processes and to optimize these.

To gain this insight, it is necessary to understand the cause of events recorded during the manufacturing of products as well as the events' trends and patterns.

Therefore, my research focuses are

  • temporal analysis of events during the manufacturing of products,
  • visual analytics of event relations,
  • analysis or the cause of events, and
  • optimization of process sequences in context of advanced Manufacturing through visual analytics
