MCSimVis: Many Core Simulation and Visualization
A central objective of the project is the speedup of the finite element simulation on the basis of PERMAS (solver) and VisPER (visualization) using hybrid many-core architectures. A major focus of innovation is an abstraction layer which standardizes the interaction of both simulation tools with the hardware and facilitates the shared access to distributed or hierarchically ordered model data.
