Install

To install and get MinkRelVis running you have to make sure you have installed following things before:

First you need a Java2 Runtime Environment, we recommend to use the latest official release version 1.3.1. You can get this version either for Microsoft Windows, Solaris or Linux at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/jre/

Second you need the Java3D API for the Java2 JRE. The latest version 1.2.1_03 can be downloaded at http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/3D/download.html for Windows and Solaris (Note: if you decide to go for the Windows version please use the OpenGL implementation, otherwise some things might not work correct). An older version 1.2.1_01 can be found for Linux at http://www.blackdown.org/java-linux/jdk1.2-status/java-3d-status.html. For other platforms check http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/3D/ports.html.

Now you're ready to run Java3D Applications such as ours. Finally you just have to unpack MinkRelVis.zip to your desired directory where you want to run it from.
