VISUS organisises In Situ Visualisation Workshop in Frankfurt
The 3rd International Workshop on In Situ Visualization (WOIV'18) took place on 28th Juni 2018 within the International Supercomputing Conference (ISC) in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The Visualisation Research Center of the University of Stuttgart co-organised the event for the third time, which focusses on scientists and experts in Visualisation and High Performance Computing.
In the workshop "In Situ Visualization: Introduction and Applications" the participants had the chance to inform themselves about the latest solutions in visualisation and share the experience of the experts. The visualisation experts Kenneth Moreland (Sandia National Laboratories), Guido Reina (VISUS, Universität Stuttgart), Thomas Theussl (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) and Tom Vierjahn (RWTH Aachen) were responsible for the organisation and the configuration of the program. With eight submitted lectures, the workshop was extended on a whole day for the first time. Additionally on the program were prominent talks with invited expert speakers like David Keyes (KAUST), Peter Messmer (Nvidia), Jim Jeffers (Intel) and Matt Larsen (LLNL), who gave insights into their best practice solutions and initiated many interesting discussions.
