Paper “Traversing Dual Realities: Investigating Techniques for Transitioning 3D Objects between Desktop and Augmented Reality Environments” wins award at the premier conference in the field of Human-Computer Interaction.

The ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI) takes place from April 26 to May 1, 2025 in Yokohama, Japan. As the most prestigious conference in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) it brings together thousands of international researchers and experts to discuss advancements in HCI.

This year, 50 Best Paper Awards will be given out amongst the over 5,000 submissions to the conference program. One of those awards goes to a publication by VISUS researchers. In their paper "Traversing Dual Realities: Investigating Techniques for Transitioning 3D Objects between Desktop and Augmented Reality Environments", Tobias Rau, Tobias Isenberg, Andreas Koehn, Michael Sedlmair und Benjamin Lee investigate the user-friendliness of different options for moving 3D objects between desktops and augmented reality environments.

Congratulations!
