Kuno Kurzhals, doctoral student at the Institute for Visualization and Interactive Systems (VIS) of the University of Stuttgart, has received the Honorable Mention Award of the IEEE VGTC VPG (Visualization Pioneers Group) for his dissertation.
A total of three winners accepted the award on October 21, 2019 at the IEEE VIS 2019 in Vancouver.
Kuno Kurzhals' dissertation "Visual analytics of eyetracking and video data" deals with the visual analysis of video data and gaze data. The combination of his results with other methods, allows the detailed study of visualization techniques and how they are perceived by users.
