Intelligent Systems Group renamed to Computer Vision Group

February 5, 2021 /

The "Intelligent Systems Group", headed by Prof. Andrés Bruhn, was recently renamed to "Computer Vision Group." With research in the areas of motion estimation (optical flow, scene flow), geometric computer vision (stereo reconstruction, shape from shading) and mathematical optimization (variational methods, neural networks), the group's main focus has already been on computer vision since it was founded in March 2012.

Besides Prof. Bruhn as a group leader, the Computer Vision group currently consists of three doctoral researchers, a system administrator and a secretary. Furthermore, the group is involved in the Transregional Collaborative Research Center "Quantitative Methods in Visual Computing" (SfB-TRR 161) and the International Max Planck Research School for Intelligent Systems (IMPRS-IS).
